Is what the Catholic Commission into Sexual Abuse providing a just and proper outcome for those victims of sexual abuse by clergy and others with the Catholic Church?

Many feel that it is not providing any genuine assistance to victims and in fact there are many allegations that the "Commission into Sexual Abuse" is little more than a sham which fails to adequately assist those it has dealings with or to adequately compensate those same people. It has repeatedly been acussed of paying hush money and tying victims up in legal contracts so that they will no longer pursue the Church in this matter.

Many victims hold the view that not only are the clergy irresponsible and deceitful and actually fail in the basics of their own religion, the congregations of these religions are also culpable - possibly actively working against the rights of victims in some cases according to reports.

It poses the question for me - do those who follow religions feel that their church does enough for victims of clergy abuse?
