Abuse victims to meet President

The alleged victims of sexual and physical abuse committed by members of the clergy at St Joseph's Home in Sta Venera shall be meetingPresident George Abela on Friday, group spokesman Lou Bondi said.

The victims were last Sunday received by Pope Benedict XVI at theApostolic Nunciature in Rabat in an unscheduled meeting during thePontiff's visit to Malta.

Earlier in the week they had had a meeting with the Archbishop.

 
Should result in a joint apology from the government and the church. Will probably say "We did it. We only did it a little bit. Everyone else is doing it. Look at all the good work we do. If only we had more money we would be able to do more good work."
