The Plan to Fail

It seems it is already written. Systemic abuse caused by a few bad apples requiring the public humiliation of a select few; the church will suffer immensely as a result but is back on track now that it knows there was a problem. Government rush to assist with funding and supportive legislation.

Suicide and trauma rates skyrocket just as in Ireland, claims of coverup, fraud and deception are swept gently under the carpet for the benefit of the survivors or so that is the claim. Implementation of a redress scheme to help lessen the cost to the Church.

Victims will receive a personally signed card of thanks co-signed by George Pell and the Pope for their participation and for all the information now available to the Church.

Crocodile tears will be wept in parliament and forthright and upright outrage expressed that this will surely never happen again only for it to continue as though there had been no break in the abuses. Victims will receive a copy of the apology that says we are sorry, very sorry we got caught at it. There will be admissions that we got it wrong but now that we know we are sure we are on the right track though we still will not acknowledge the cause of it. Politicians will vow to implement all recommendations immediately, there may even be condemnation of the Church while behind the scenes there will be handshakes and congratulations for getting this through with so little cost to the Church.

Legislative changes get bogged down in back room arguments and agreements. Approximately 3% of recommendations implemented within the first 6 months while the balance remain under investigation by various government departments or are awaiting signatures for months before they can progress slowly so as to fulfill the plan to fail..

Considerable power-shifting taking place in the public service, health, mental health, policing and the judiciary. Attendance at the Red Mass becomes mandatory for all law enforcement across the country.

Children remain in danger on a daily basis while their inculcation into a toxic cult is sanctioned by government and portions of the community.

Legislation aimed at restricting or controlling the operation of Canon law in the country cannot be implemented due to existing agreements and concordats in existence with the Holy See, the Vatican. Local bishoporates and Sees redevelop closer ties between authorities via a range of extended memorandums of understanding. Statute of limitations will be tightened to ensure fairness to all.
