Thank you Mark for your response and your comments, however assisting those abused is the what we are about and it reads that you are happy to be involved helping us find and communicate with the best educated men and women of action and compassion who are capable of providing support, guidance and assistance to survivors of childhood sexual abuse by their fellow clergy men and women but on different terms than what you have inferred.

If you care to send me some idea on what terms you require so we can review those and see if we can move forward so we can experience the good that these good men and women can bring to survivors.

I received this email this morning (see below) and went to the website. I don't know anything about this group/website. It has a lot of the earmarks of being a scam as it asks for money to be donated to an account which is controlled by unknown people for unknown purposes.

Also, it really got under my skin that this is being presented as a test. It came across as me being 'tested' to see if I was educated and noble. I don't want to support someone to pass a test. I would want to support the person in order to support them. That this 'test' was put on me by outside people who don't know me and whom I don't know and the fact that there is no person signing the email increased this sense.

I am happy to be involved on terms different from what I have inferred from the original email (above). If there is room for that, please contact me again.

Each survivor assisted will be noted publicly to acknowledge the compassion, knowledge and understanding of Catholic clergy of this issue. We will provide opportunities to distribute via Social Media and Internet technologies each and every endeavour.

Your role should you choose to engage with us is to make contact with a Catholic or Catholic clergy and advise them of our offer. You may inform them that we have an extensive inventory of survivor contacts who have an even greater range of immediate to urgent needs to be taken care of.
