Request for meeting Fran Bailey, State Politician

Dear Fran, Ben and Jeanette,

I  write this letter to you as primarily  a Parent grandparent  and a concerned citizen.Secondly as the father of a son and a family that have been adversely affected by Clergy Sexual Abuse(C.S.A)I ask you to read Angelas' Letter attached.  then I hope you will grant  Pam Krstic Angela and I an appointment to discuss our concerns. The only way we are able to get any attention from the Church is by approaching the Politicians as was proved when Fran had me introduced to Brian Lucas via a phone call but that went cold after I asked  Why ?does the National Committee for Professional Standards not keep statistics on abusive priests the only reply to this was" too troublesome"now come on 21st century and data collection is to hard that our kids are not even cared about enough for them to  keep publicly available statistics DEPLORABLE.

Angela was a devout catholic woman and to see her turned on by her fellow parishioners like she was some form of low life is shocking example of what I can only describe as communal cowardice, Instigated by  the local Priest who whipped the loyal Pay Pray and Obey Catholics into a Frenzy of hatred against this woman,and then pleaded guilty anyway. 'Ben' I know you are catholic I don't know about Jeanette and there is not meant to be any thing offensive in this letter But I do feel that it is time for government intervention in this matter. What has happened to Angela should never be allowed to happen to an Australian woman or any woman in the world for that matter ever again.
   
We believe as victims we have many Proactive things to offer the church on the matters of how C.S.A victims could/should be treated but have been rudely ignored from the level of the Parish priest to the Competent office of the Holy See.

 

We would like to discuss with you all  things such as
  

• Awareness raising
• Funding.
• Liaising between Church and Victims
• Getting a truly independent ombudsman to liase victims claims as Sth Australia have done.
• Public space for peaceful demonstrations and fundrasing
• Political party support surely safety of our kids is something we can all bury our political hatchets on.If you Google' Ian Lawther a fair dinkum letter to the Pope' which has been ignored' you will see my background on this.
