Not another apology please. Can we actually get up as Australians and do the appropriate thing about this.
This is simply addressing only a small part of the problem when the evidence is clear that the catholic and other churches have through stupidity, naivety, ignorance or fear have terrified and raped women and children as though it is their right.The responsibility of Government is to treat all equally and fairly and there is not a hint of that in sight.
The can be no place for apologies to one sector of the community while ignoring the far larger and greater number of the same crimes committed against others who were not institutionalised when the causes are the same.
The leading light of Christianity in the name of the Catholic church and all those who follow its system and traits are able to implement a unified and singular policies to ensure the reality of the crimes committed against women and children never reach the light,to ensure they are kept secret while the evidence of this is kept from sight.

The Decree CRIMEN SOLLICITATIONIS". This documents' history shows it had a lifetime of a great deal more than just a hundred years. Any 8 year old child understands the word 'secret' although they would not at that age comprehend the horror found in the reality when such an organisation as this church would actually write this down as the creed and as a part of the teaching of the catholic church and then set about distributing it globally as they repeatedly did.
That this was an error of judgment is plain for all of us to see, the church was publicly made aware of this again in the 1950s and 60s - it simply chose to continue with its policy of secrecy and continued to apply itself to the task of ensuring that the world complied with its dictates and thus created the greatest cover up of psychological horrors and sexual crimes through the use of emotional blackmail of not only its followers but of our Governments as well - the evidence for that is in this usual minimisation as our government once again is blackmailed into being an apologist once again for the crimes of the Catholic and other churches.
In the 50 decades which have passed since this began to be widely known there have been hundreds of thousands of opportunities for the catholic church alone to acknowledge its failings and to make appropriate repair. It simply has consecutively failed in each and every instance over those decades and continues that today. This process has denied justice to more than we can know, it has caused us to go to war and to send our men and women into danger simply to support the purported need of the catholic church to attempt to keep a secret what the the world already knows that it is the single largest perpetrator of the crime we currently have.
Minister Jenny Macklin may be in denial even greater than the worst Holocaust deniers we have for to deny the numbers of heinous and horrific crimes at the hands of the catholic church is either sheer stupidity or was she in heaven when the Pope visited with his attempt to apologise for the rape of children across the globe at the hands of his clergy; perhaps she was studying history along with the Prime Minister as it seemed to miss her entirely and the Cabinet as well. There is no mention of other affected sectors such as sexually molested boys - we know their numbers amount to many millions who were used as sexual toys by catholic and other clergy.This faulty and failed religion has forced us to write into our Constitutions their eternal right to rape and pillage however they like.
The 2004 Forgotten Australians inquiry did just that - it forgot every child and woman raped by clergy and other authority figures and a plethora of other crime. There is no mention here of an equal place at the table for those 500,000 children or so or one for those abused by clergy, their families and friends and other who experienced horrors and crime as a result - no doubt we will have a political answer all neatly worked out and of course our trustworthy pedophile enabling churches will also want to exercise their Constitutionally and legally protected rights.
If you were to plan to fail and destroy a society this is what you would have. The scale of the catholic church and its horrors continue to spread, meanwhile you will get apologies and words from affected and deceived politicians' apology for the church knowing this will definitely cause each and every individual Australian to pay and to play a part in the next rape of a child at the hands of another sexually dysfunctional member of the clergy. Every dead soldier who lays in his grave must cringe in horror and shame to know that he and his comrades fought and died for this and they would ask that we change those words of 'Lest we forget' so that they simply say "We forgot that it is the children that we do it all for, and that when some men's gods have a need for children to be sexually abused it is time to say I am an Australian and that is not my way".
When Jenny Macklin can do this for the unambiguous good of all children then she would get the peoples support. If she is simply is doing it to be another apologist for this corrupted and debased catholic church then I'll have my money back simply because my Government has become so polluted with this filth that it too has become a moral peril to our own people and our children.
More news today of this pox, it seems the Melbourne branch of this global disruption has systematically deceived all of its parishioners due to the lack of proper reporting and accountability procedures in a non-democratic, male dominated dysfunctional church through once again blackmailing and bullying them through the use of our legal and political systems and their ultimate personal weapons of excommunication or the taking away of ones eternal life.
Of course there is an appropriate solution, it just seems that all that is lacking is the political will and the religious ability as the vast majority of the people are for an end to it all.
