Recent cases have been reported in many countries - far too many to suggest that the problem is anything other than systemic throughout the entire Catholic church. Perhaps the hierarchy have only recently recognised the problem, or maybe they've been trying to keep it concealed from public view:
"May those who have Eyes,See; and those who have Ears,Hear." 

Cases have recently surfaced in too many locations for anyone with"ears to hear, and eyes to see" to mistake: -
