The Black Halo hovers over me but no shame - wear it proud

inflamed with cataracts of perversion & hate

click& clack of them beads
neurotic ways sowing their seeds
O bless me Father for I have sin
dribbling oozing from every pore
You are holy I am but a 'whore'
A thousand Our Fathers
A million Hail Marys ain't gonna touch the side
Children so damaged and tainted
nowhere to heal & nowhere to hide
Adults we be now wearing a bitter scar
a forever wound
from those who preached a God risen from a tomb
Religion, religion
spat me from its' womb
O forgive me Virgin Mary
i be the child
religion stole
Toss another gold coin
in that Vatican forgiveness bowl
Tell those abused by a purported holy one
Tell them no-one is interested
in the scar that keeps busting open & refusing
to heal or be lost in passage of time
It rips tears sneers jeers leers
infers one is forever dross
There be Jesus lying impaled on a cross
There be an endless flow of stories being told to this day
Someone always has to pay
This & only this is left of the struggle
This be all i know is searing truth
This be all i can give into the torment
of the shamed into silence ones
Pass it on!
