Dear Ms LaPointe:
I am writing this on behalf of the Irish chapter of the International Tribunal
into Crimes of Church and State (I.T.C.C.S.)
We respectfully inquire how soon a coroner's report may be issued on the cause
of death of William Combes who died at St.. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver
recently.
The work of the ITCCS is specifically focused on the intolerable treatment of
indigenous people worldwide, and our membership includes six nations.
It is our understanding that William Combes was 59 and reportedly in good health
despite his life on the street.
We also understand that a year ago your office issued a report concerning one
Johnny Dawson, in fact a close friend of William Combes, which was
contradictory, indicating cause of death as alcohol poisoning, while at the
same time stating that there was no alcohol in his system. This also prompts
our concern that such a misrepresentation not be replicated in the case of
William Combes, especially because of your recent appointment as Chief Coroner
and what we understand is your impressive background in the public sector and
the judicial system.
Our concern is prompted by the fact that William Combes and Johnny Dawson were
friends and former inmates of Canada's infamous Indian Residential School
system, and both were known to be outspoken concerning what happened in those
"schools," critical of both church and state - stories of rape, sodomy, medical
experimentation and murder. Unfortunately they were both given to talking like
that publicly, such as on CFRO Radio in Vancouver until the CRTC silenced the
program "Hidden From History," on which they were frequent visitors.
Johnny Dawson, we understand succumbed a year ago, reportedly two days
following a witnessed attack, allegedly by three members of the Vancouver
Police.
If your report isn't produced within a reasonable time period or if the report
contradicts itself as was the case of Johnny Dawson, then members of the
I.T.C.C.S. Ireland will take to the streets outside the Canadian Embassey, and
demand that you be removed from your job, along with a call for an independant
inquiry addressed to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Indian Affairs.
The cover-up of Genocide against the indigenous people of Canada may be
tolerated in Canada, but it will not be tolerated in Ireland.
